Commentary Pinjarra Hills is a small outlying rural acreage community 15 km south-west of Brisbane's CBD located on the north-western shore of the Brisbane River. Like it's neighbouring suburbs Anstead and Pullenvale, Pinjarra Hills is predominantly made up of acreage properties.

Making up approximately half of the suburbs area, the University of Queensland Moggill Farm campus is the only educational facility in the suburb whilst Pullenvale and Moggill primary are within five kilometres' driving distance. The closest secondary schools are located in Kenmore or Indooroopilly.

The Bellbowrie Plaza Shopping Centre services the Pinjarra Hills community's retail requirements, and the Bellbowrie public swimming pool provides a community attraction during the summer months.

Home to a number of large prestigious homes on with landscaped gardens, housing styles vary with some modern brick and tile low set and high set examples, as well as some Queenslander-style homes with sweeping balconies.
